On April 28, 2023, BVEC hosted Dr. Kelly Speer and her team from the University of Michigan to introduce BVEC and the current research projects that are ongoing in Belize. During her visit, a tour of the BVEC station was conducted to highlight the capacities, both infrastructure and human resources, and possible future collaborations.
Currently, the University of Michigan is engaged in bi-annual research projects in Belize and the visit to BVEC was a great opportunity to share experience and research awareness between both BVEC and Dr. Speer.
