Jailene Castillo

Jailene (/JĪ,LĒN/) is a research assistant at the Belize Vector and Ecology Center. Her particular interests include host-pathogen interactions, molecular biology, and global health. She completed her degree in biochemistry at the University of the West Indies, CaveHill Campus. Jailene hopes to use her scientific creativity to become an excellent scientist and educator and produce impactful research  to help vulnerable communities.
