BVEC Outreach Activities

BVEC continues to engage with Community Stakeholders in outreach activities to create continued awareness of Vector-Borne Diseases and Prevention Methods. BVEC creates awareness through health fairs, School Fairs, Open Days, and other health or education-focused events.

BVEC was invited to present to CJC students an overview of the Belize Vector and Ecology Center, highlighting its history, capacity, and current projects. BVEC representatives used this platform to express their gratification as members of the science community. The students in attendance used this time to get first-hand experience from researchers in various fields on challenges, joys, and opportunities in the science field.
